Have you ever thought about where all the stuff you use and consume everyday comes from?
- The food you consume everyday - where was it grown, packed, processed and how did it end up on your table?
- The clothes you wear - what are the made of, where did the material come from and who made them?
- The stuff you use - where was your phone assembled, .
- Your habits; this is refers to your consumer habits, your recycling habits, etc.

Activities
- Make a list of all the items of clothing you are wearing and write down in which country each item was made. Save your list in a Word document in your folder, file name yoursurname_stuff.docx
- On the list write down the make of cell phone you use and where is was manufactured.
- Choose two items on your list that did not originate in South Africa and estimate how far they had to travel to get to Gauteng in km.
- Read chapter 15, Stuff, of David MacKay's Sustainable Energy without the Hot Air. Capture your own thoughts about this chapter in 'stuff'- document.
- Reflect on your findings in your blog.
