Activity 1 |
Class Blog - ongoing activity |
|
Keep a diary in the form of a blog.
- This is a journal, in other words a monologue. It gives you the opportunity to practise your writing skills, to reflect on the activities and your own learning; apply critical thinking and hopefully come up with new ideas.
- Go to: kidblog.org/UPwithScienceGroupO/ and log-in with the password provided to you. Update your profile.
- At the end of each UP with SCIENCE day, briefly record what you did, what you learned and how you experienced the activities of the day.
- Use your blog to share your opinions with your group members and the rest of the world.
- Your blog will help you to remember how you felt about certain activities and how your thoughts changed over time.
- Read what the other members have written and comment on their posts.
- Invite friends or family to read your blog. They can login as Guest, password = password.

Guidelines
- Write regularly, at least after each meeting.
- Be professional and keep to the topic.
- References online materials correctly and don't use images that are not your own without permission.
- Write in simple English or Afrikaans without sms short-hand and pay attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation. Use a spell checker if you can.
- If you disagree with somebody else's opinion, do so respectfully, don’t make personal criticisms. Remember Blogs are about ideas.
- Don't publish information you know may be inaccurate.
- Do not publish private information such as your phone number or address.
- DO NOT give your password to anybody else; friends & family may login as guest.
