Create a Pixton Comic |

Pixton is a wonderful way to communicate scientific ideas in a fun and creative way using comic strips.
Create a Pixton comic about one of the following topics
- Healthy Eating
- Food labels and/or food ingredients
- You view about "stuff" as defined in "Sustainable Energy without the Hot Air"
- Your visit to the CSIR
- Planting and growing something.
- Any other science related topic that interests you.

Activity
- Go to: www.pixton.com
- Select the JOIN NOW option to join Pixton for Fun.
Create a login. You will need an e-mail address to do this. Make sure you remember you password!
If you don't have an e-mail address go to Activity 1a for guidelines to setup your own webmail.
- Create your very own comic strip. Choose the Quickie option (you can add more panels later, this is an easy way to start)
- Choose your template and characters.
- By clicking in the comic strip and using the tool bar on the side and below, you will be able to change the expressions, movements, add props, speechbubbles and text, change the background and much more.
- Create the complete comic strip of 3 - 6 slides. Remember it should have a scientific message, related to Green Living.
- Save and Continue your comic.
- Post the comic and e-mail the link to your comic to upwithscience@up.ac.za.
- Optional: share your comic with friends and teachers by posting it on your facebook page.
