Class Blog - ongoing activity

 

Keep a diary in the form of a blog.

  • Go to: kidblog.org/UPwithSCIENCEGroupN/ and log-in with the password provided to you. Update your profile.
  • At the end of each UP with SCIENCE day, briefly record what you did, what you learned and how you experienced the activities of the day.
  • Use your blog to share your opinions with your group members and the rest of the world.
  • Your blog will help you to remember how you felt about certain activities and how your thoughts changed over time.
  • Read what the other members have written and comment on their posts.
  • Invite friends or family to read your blog. They can login as Guest, password = password.
  Guidelines
  • Write regularly, at least after each meeting.
  • Be professional and keep to the topic.
  • References online materials correctly and don't use images that are not your own without permission.
  • Write in simple English or Afrikaans without sms short-hand and pay attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation. Use a spell checker if you can.
  • If you disagree with somebody else's opinion, do so respectfully, don’t make personal criticisms. Remember Blogs are about ideas.
  • Don't publish information you know may be inaccurate.
  • Do not publish private information such as your phone number or address.
  • DO NOT give your password to anybody else; friends & family may login as guest.
 

Assessment

Although you will not get marks for this, you shall receive feedback from the mentors about your blogging from time to time.
