Prospective "UP with Science" Students!

Welcome!

All "UP with SCIENCE" learners have to apply for admission to the University of Pretoria through the normal channels for the Study Programme of their choice. Application forms are available from the Client Service Centre on the main campus or online from the University web page for prospective students. To be admitted to the study programme of your choice you have to satisfy the admission requirements for that course.

If you successfully attended all the activities of the "UP with SCIENCE" programme for three years, you qualify for the tuition scholarship as set out in the Memorandum of Agreement between you and the University of Pretoria. You will receive a letter confirming your satisfactory participation on your the last day in the "UP with SCIENCE" programme.

Once you have been accepted into your Study Programme, you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place. If you qualify for the UP with SCIENCE bursary this deposit is part of your bursary.

Procedure for 2019!

Registration at the beginning of the academic year
At the beginning of each year you have to register for your courses and pay a registration fee. The registration fee for 2019 is expected to remain at R5000. This registration fee is part of your "UP with SCIENCE" bursary. You will however only be able to register once this information has been fed into the system. If you cannot pay the registration fee yourself, you have to submit the Bursary Agreement Form at least a week before you register. If you are a minor (under 18 years old), your parents will have to sign the form as well.

Important: The bursary information requested in the contract you have to sign once you have accepted the offer of admission to UP does NOT refer to the UP with Science bursary. You, the student, or your guardian, remain responsible for all fees.

Printed UP with Science Bursary Agreement forms are available from the reception at Sci-Enza or you can download the application form in pdf format from this site. Completed forms must be submitted by hand (this means the original form with your signature, not a copy or scanned document) to the Deans office of the Faculty of Natural & Agricultural Sciences in the Agricultural Building (Landbougebou).
You may still submit your forms at the reception at Sci-Enza; the completed forms will be forwarded to the Deans office on a weekly basis.
