Project Proposals for 2005 - Group G

The project will entail:

  • Isolating fungi from environment at home; indoors & outdoors
  • Making pure cultures
  • Investigating the morphology of the fungi with light microscopy
  • Doing DNA extraction
  • Setting up and doing PCR
  • Sequencing of the PCR products
  • Doing BLAST searches with sequences and constructing trees
