Metabolic rate in a small mammals
Metabolic rate can be measured in small mammals using a respirometer and oxygen analyser. The amount of oxygen consumed by an animal can be converted into a metabolic rate. You will learn how to measure metabolic rate in a small mammal and compare small mammals that live in different habitats to see how metabolism can be modified according to the niche occupied by an animal.Participants
