Research projects, Group O

In this project you will learn about and do experiments using high speed flash photography. First a few basics of photography will be dealt with and then some electronic circuits will be put together to trigger a flash unit and to build a strobe light.

Various experiments and measurements will then be performed to find answers to the following questions. How fast does a balloon rip open when punctured? How fast does a raindrop fall? How does a football deform when kicked? etc.
